Years ago (1971) when I began my interest in photography all I ever shot was B&W. Some photos just don't look right in color and work well in Black & White. B&W really forces you to look at tonality of the shot.

This is where the beautiful scenery comes in. Most of these are taken in Yosemite National Park, my home away from home. It don't matter how many times you shoot a subject they are never the same. Different days of the year, different times of the day/night = different light.

Nature and wildlife are always fun to try for. Very few of these are captive animals but when they are I try to keep the shots looking as if in the wild. (ie: no man made elements in the photos. Flowers, bushes, trees. Plants of all types. A lot of these I have no idea of their names. If you know them please let me know. I'd appreciate it and you'll get the credit.

Macro photography, getting close up and personal with the subjects. the lens I usually use for this is a 1:1 Macro lens which means I can shoot at actual size. Cropping the photo can get you in even closer.

Most of these are sunsets. I can't seem to be up early enough for the sunrises :) I've always got my camera with me so sometimes I'm able to catch some great sunsets,

I listen to a scanner with the Police, Sheriffs, Ambulances, Fire. So if I'm close enough when I hear a call, I'm there to catch the shots. Besides, you never know when the newspaper will buy a shot :)

The Titles says it. My Cat - Blue. I got him when he was merely 4 weeks old, born on Aug. 3rd, 2006. He's my buddy, room mate and loves Spaghetti and Oatmeal cookies and camping in Yosemite. (aka Kampin' Kitty), Walks on a leash and when he's in my pickup he like to lay on top of the head rest so he can see where he's going.
